I’m a self-taught artist inspired by a passion for travels and admiration of different cultures around the world. I combine different techniques and media, using pastels, charcoal, ink and gold leaf.
Micotton
My name is Mylène. In French, my name sounds like mi-laine,”half-wool”. I don’t just use wool and cotton though, all the yarn and all the fabrics and all the paints. I am constantly crafting, designing, making, thinking about crafting, or looking up new patterns and projects.

My work values curiosity, humour, and experimentation and the making process itself is a calming, grounding form of gentle escape from stress and anxiety. With the joy of making, placing as much importance on the creative process as on the final image itself.
Kate Sealey Rahman Ceramics
I create wheel-thrown stoneware and porcelain ceramics from my Muswell Hill studio. Inspired by Japanese, Korean and Scandinavian design, I make decorative, sculptural and functional pieces for the home and table, combining elegant forms with subtle glazes that celebrate the beauty of clay.
